Matthew C. Watson, DMD
Dr. Matthew Watson has been a dedicated dentist and practice owner for decades, treating every patient as if they were family. A graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina in 1994, he has spent his career focusing on conservative dentistry and providing the highest level of care. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, SC Dental Association, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and has completed extensive training in Implant Dentistry, Periodontal Surgery, Orthodontics, Cosmetic Dentistry, and Endodontics.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Watson enjoys offshore fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. He is married to Katie and has two children, Tori and Hunter, as well as three wonderful grandchildren, Leddie, Banks, and Hunter.

Born and raised amidst the charming landscapes of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Dr. Hunter Watson’s unwavering commitment to dental excellence is deeply rooted in his origins. Graduating from Wando High School in 2012, he embarked on a remarkable academic journey that led him to The Citadel, where he earned his degree in 2016, honing his values of discipline and service.
Dr. Watson’s pursuit of knowledge led him to attain his dental degree from the Dental College of Georgia in 2021, followed by a two-year General Practice Residency that refined his skills. With a deep passion for community welfare, he accepted a position in Greenwood, SC, where he offered essential dental care to an underserved community.
Dr. Watson’s professional strengths and interests encompass a range of advanced techniques including implants, sedation dentistry, and esthetics. As a dedicated biological dentist, he emphasizes a holistic approach to oral health, prioritizing the connection between dental care and overall well-being. Driven by a desire to transform lives, he takes immense pride in delivering painless dentistry and playing a pivotal role in restoring his patients’ smiles and self-confidence.
Beyond the dental chair, Dr. Watson’s enthusiasm for hunting, fishing, and nurturing chickens and honey bees showcases his profound connection with nature and his surroundings. In 2022, he embraced a new chapter as he married Sydney Watson, and in 2023, the couple joyfully welcomed their son, Banks, into their lives. In October 2024, they were thrilled to welcome their second son, Hunter. Their canine companions, Bruce the Great Dane and Quigley the dachshund, complete their loving household.
